The Volvo manufacturing facility located near Charleston, South Carolina, is set to expand its operations significantly this year. Previously responsible for the S60 sedan, the plant has transitioned to producing large electric SUVs, including the EX90 and the similar Polestar 3. It has now been confirmed by Volvo and Polestar that the Charleston location will become the exclusive manufacturing hub for the Polestar 3, taking over from the previous dual production arrangement with a facility in Chengdu, China.
